Job Responsibilities

On a daily basis, you will be required to : 

  • Drill horizontal and vertical holes in the quarry using drilling equipment. 
  • Cut stone out of quarry using a diamond wire saw. 
  • Safely drilling holes in a granite block using a pneumatic hammer. 
  • Insert wedges into holes and use a sledgehammer to break blocks to required dimensions. 
  • Provide extraction data to optimize productivity. 
  • Maintain and check equipment.

You have good manual and physical skills. You are rigorous and like to work in a team. You know how to respect deadlines by being versatile and self-reliant. You are attentive and you know how to stand back in a complex situation. You must also enjoy working in a fast and stimulating environment. 

Work Conditions 

  • Salary based on experience and position, up to $26.42/hour. 
  • Evening shift premium: $1/hour. 
  • Evening schedule: 2pm to 10pm (Monday to Friday). 
  • Day schedule: 7am to 4pm (Monday to Friday).
